Thursday Institute

The Thursday Night Institute stresses the absolute importance of sound Biblical doctrine to the practical health, functioning, ministry, and love of a local church. Focusing on Systematic Theology, Church History, and Practical Theology, the Thursday Night Institute seeks to equip God's people for effective ministry in a day where much biblical and moral confusion abound.

What is theology?

What is Theology? Wayne Grudem defines theology as “any study that answers the question, ‘What does the whole Bible teach us today?’ about any given topic." However, rather than mere academic knowledge, the Thursday Night Institute strives for a balance between the head and heart (learning and life) in its theology. As Sinclair Ferguson explains, “The goal of theology is the worship of God. The posture of theology is on one’s knees. The mode of theology is repentance.”

Times and sessions

The Thursday Night Institute is enjoyed once per quarter, with sessions during Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. In each session, participants will meet on a weekly basis for times of structured teaching and discussion on the selected topic.
